2018 YP UNITE SUMMIT:
Young Professionals Association of Louisville (YPAL) is excited to bring YPs back to Louisville with the 6th annual YP Unite Summit. The two day event will take place at Goodwood Brewing Comany (Thursday night, Nov. 8th) and The Pointe (all day Friday, Nov. 9th).
YPAL will host young professional organizations from around the country to learn, change, and grow together. Through collaboration, networking, best practices and leadership development, the YP Unite Summit will provide value and make an impact on every young professional organization that ventures to Louisville. We look forward to sharing the vision and growth of our city with young professionals across the country.
The YP Unite Summit is an annual gathering of young professional groups and individuals from Louisville and the surrounding region with the goal of sharing best practices and leadership development.
In 2013, leaders from Kentucky’s young professionals’ groups gathered at the state’s capital for the first time. The goal was to share best practices and hear from some of the state’s political leaders and business executives while discussing how to work together to make Kentucky better at attracting and retaining young talent. This was the Kentucky YP Summit. See press release.
>> Leaders from YPEK (Eastern Kentucky), LYPA (Lexington), Legacy (Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky) & YPAL (Louisville) met at the Governor’s Mansion in Frankfort, Kentucky at the 2013 Kentucky Summit.
After an incredible meeting, the groups present decided they would convene each year, growing the size and reach of the attendees. It was agreed that the event should be expanded to reach similar young professionals organizations throughout the region.
In 2014, the YP Summit was kicked off by celebrating the 15th anniversary of The Young Professionals Association of Louisville at Churchill Downs with a night of networking and horse racing. Young Professionals gathered in Downtown Louisville on Saturday for a day filled with networking, keynote speakers, and breakout sessions.
This will be one of the most unique experiences a young professional leader will have in their development. Throughout the YP Unite Summit, you can count on meeting like-minded individuals who are as driven and passionate as you are. We are tech-savvy, consumers of knowledge, expert takers of selfies and deeply passionate advocates for causes. We are young professionals. We are leaders. And we’re serious about making a difference in our communities and changing the world.
Come check out the YP Unite Summit and learn how to better use your voice to make that happen.
